Race #2 - We Finally Break the 100 Racer Mile Marker!!

IF YOU'RE HERE FOR THE 1ST TIME GATHERING INFO ON THE SERIES, PLEASE READ THE POST 2 ENTRIES BELOW THIS ONE. THANKS.

We ended up with over 100 total races on Wednesday night! We finally break the century barrier - thanks to everyone participating. It looked like we might get a wicked rain storm, but we held in there for wonderful weather.

Here are the results for the event. Please, if you see any problems, leave a comment or email us dsiddoway (at) mountainraceworks (dot) com - We seemed to have a few issue with folks DNF'ing and not checking in with our finish-line crew. If you have a problem on the course and do not finish - please tell them.

Race Results From Race #2

Couple small housekeeping issues. 1. Sandbagging is not cool - after all, we are racing for money. Here is the deal, if you are consistently winning (by a large margin), it is time to move up - and the sooner you do, the better your chances for placing in the new category are. If you wait, and we move you up late in the game - you will lose half of your points as you move up. So move up quickly and minimize your loses. To reiterate: When you move up a class, you take only half of your points - clean and simple. If you move down, you take nothing. The link below outlines most question you may about the series - if not, ask one of us at the race or leave a comment.
2009 Mid-Week Racer Handbook

The second thing I want to clarify, and this is especially important as the size of our participation grows, the raffle and free drink products are for paid racers only. Our Free kids race is made possible through a donation made by Basin Rec and Young Riders. Additionally Mountain Race Works provides free Popsicle's and Clif has generously donated product to cover each racer we have for every event. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Again, thanks to everyone for participating in this wonderful event. Ride On!
