And We Move on to Solitude!
We'll see everyone at Solitude on Wednesday night! No thunderstorms, no rain, just tacky ripping Single Track racing.
The first hundred racers get the new flex-fit Full Throttle Mid-Week Series hat.
We'll see you there.
BTW: We've not decided on a make-up race yet. Leaning towards doing a race Tuesday and Wednesday next week - maybe at Deer Valley.

Hi,
I am just wondering why there is no payout for the beginner racers. They pay the same 12 dollars as everyone else. Whether you are 10 or 25 everyone wants to be rewarded for there accomplishments. If you are not going to have a cash payout for beginners, then they should not have to pay an entry fee.
Thanks.
I am typically quiet, but, I will take this one on. I do not feel that pros deserve anything.
but here is why they are the ones get paid.
- The sandbagging issue. the only way to control this and pay fair, would be: no categories, everyone races together , winner take all.
-Icup promoter, makes the pros pay more because he is greedy and lazy , because he doesn't get ouside sponsor money for the purse he has to rely on entry fees, pros shouldn't have to pay more to race , especially the ones who don't win the money, we ,I mean, they should be able to race expert if we like and not participate in the money game.
- Promoters can't pay everyone , they wouldn't be able to afford promoting the event,
-you could use it as an incentive to move up.
I like the winner take all idea
sick course. comment of the night "Park City's course was like kindergarten, Solitude's was like college, I had way more fun in college than kindergarten."
gregwtus your comment "-Icup promoter, makes the pros pay more because he is greedy and lazy" Is both an ignorant and unfair comment. Having raced Icup events for more than 10 years I have seen the numbers grow every year mainly due to the excellent way Ed organizes the events. While other areas of the country have diminishing numbers in mountain biking events Intermountain gets stronger every year. We are lucky to have so many choices of quality events. The Park City/Solitude series, Sundance/Soldier Hollow
Series and the Intermountain Cup series are all excellent events. If your not having fun or are too good maybe you shouldn't be here.
pcdorks ,
You probably won't see me at any icups then, if i'm not welcome. However, Double race night next week! I'm stoked!

Funny for talking trash on Ed, the Icup promoter you still showed up at Solitude this last weekend. We were really looking forward to not seeing you there. I guess you talk big but in the end your just a wimp.
