We had announced a potential makeup race at Deer Valley tomorrow night. It will NOT be happening. Simply not enough time to pull it together.
At Solitude Wednesday night we will be racing the original course again. Next week we will be looking at utilizing the new trail, and will more than likely run the trail up the new section and descend Kruzer again.
See you Wednesday night.

Results for Race #3 (Solitude #1)
Thanks everyone, another wonderful turnout! Great weather, great trails, and fun had by all. Here are the results for this weeks racing.
Next Wednesday we will be at Solitude again, we will absolutely be racing the same course. For the 3rd race at Solitude we are may incorporate some of the new Bess trail, should be fun.
We have not confirmed the Tuesday night make up event at Deer Valley yet. Stay Tuned.

And We Move on to Solitude!
We'll see everyone at Solitude on Wednesday night! No thunderstorms, no rain, just tacky ripping Single Track racing.
The first hundred racers get the new flex-fit Full Throttle Mid-Week Series hat.
We'll see you there.
BTW: We've not decided on a make-up race yet. Leaning towards doing a race Tuesday and Wednesday next week - maybe at Deer Valley.

Cancelled Events - Potential Make-Ups
Some of you have already emailed suggestions on make-up dates for the 2 cancelled dates. Please contiue to post your comments here, or send us emails at riley (at) mountainraceworks (dot) com.
Give us your input on a potential makeup. Would you all be interested in racing twice in one week, maybe once back in Park City? Maybe you don't want to do a makeup event at all - it does affect the payout amounts! Anyway, let us know what you think. Thanks.

Sorry...Drowned Again - - Race #4 is OFF!
2:00PM update: (RACE #4 CANCELLED) Well, Mother Nature doesn't seem to want us to race! Our contact with the city was just out on the course and feels there is too much standing water currently, and with the real threat of more rain it just didn't make sense to have everyone come and then have to call it off at the last minute.
PLAN: Mark your calendars for next week at Solitude! Park City people, we are talking to you - this is a wonderful venue and the Guard Road pass is open (20 minutes from the town to PC to Solitude). Weather looks like it might finally cooperate.
MAKEUP Races: We are not sure what we will do yet, maybe try to come back to Park City for a final event on the 5th of August. Your suggestions would be much appreciated.
THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING (WE'VE LOST OURS!).
1:30PM update: We have a city official out on the course, looking to make a decision here in the next hour. Stay tuned.
10:00AM update: It is currently overcast and raining off and on up here. We are hoping the weather will get this out of its system this morning and things will clear up for tonight's racing action. Please watch us on twitter @midweekmtb or here for updates. And...keep you fingers crossed. Thanks for you understanding.

RACE #3 CANCELLED
Unfortunately due to the standing water on the trail, and what looks to more on the way, the race has been canceled tonight. City Officials felt 100 racers on the wet trail would not be good - plus, it's never fun to be struck by lightning. We will be back in Park City at Round Valley for next weeks race.
Oh yeah, new course next week. We'll start up the road and make the turn onto Matt's Flat, then take a left and head up to Nowhere Elks. We will climb up to where you will be on the trail junction of Nowhere and Somewhere Elks (ridge top), from there around back to our start/finish area via lower Rambler. About the same distance, maybe a little harder - but not much. Then...we are off to Solitude for Race #5 - June 24th.

New Course???
LOOKING FOR RESULTS FROM WEEK 2? LOOK AT THE POST BELOW THIS ONE. LOOKING FOR INFO REGARDING THE MID-WEEK RACE SERIES - LOOK DOWN A POST OR TWO. THANKS.
Follow us on Twitter: @midweekMTB We'll do our best to give updates on things like when the results are posted, course tweaks, weather cancellations, etc.
So, thinking about rolling the course in a new direction - little more technical, little less than .5 miles longer. Looking for some commentary. Let us know what you think, a few people mentioned it would be fun to change for the last two Park City events.

Race #2 - We Finally Break the 100 Racer Mile Marker!!
IF YOU'RE HERE FOR THE 1ST TIME GATHERING INFO ON THE SERIES, PLEASE READ THE POST 2 ENTRIES BELOW THIS ONE. THANKS.
We ended up with over 100 total races on Wednesday night! We finally break the century barrier - thanks to everyone participating. It looked like we might get a wicked rain storm, but we held in there for wonderful weather.
Here are the results for the event. Please, if you see any problems, leave a comment or email us dsiddoway (at) mountainraceworks (dot) com - We seemed to have a few issue with folks DNF'ing and not checking in with our finish-line crew. If you have a problem on the course and do not finish - please tell them.
Race Results From Race #2
Couple small housekeeping issues. 1. Sandbagging is not cool - after all, we are racing for money. Here is the deal, if you are consistently winning (by a large margin), it is time to move up - and the sooner you do, the better your chances for placing in the new category are. If you wait, and we move you up late in the game - you will lose half of your points as you move up. So move up quickly and minimize your loses. To reiterate: When you move up a class, you take only half of your points - clean and simple. If you move down, you take nothing. The link below outlines most question you may about the series - if not, ask one of us at the race or leave a comment.
2009 Mid-Week Racer Handbook
The second thing I want to clarify, and this is especially important as the size of our participation grows, the raffle and free drink products are for paid racers only. Our Free kids race is made possible through a donation made by Basin Rec and Young Riders. Additionally Mountain Race Works provides free Popsicle's and Clif has generously donated product to cover each racer we have for every event. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
Again, thanks to everyone for participating in this wonderful event. Ride On!
